Life Cycle Investment Partners is a boutique investment manager based in London. Our experienced team adopts a distinctive Corporate Life Cycle inspired approach to invest in global equities with a simple mission: aim to outperform across multiple market conditions for our clients.

Established in 2024, Life Cycle Investment Partners currently has in excess of US$30bn in assets under management (as at 30 June 2026). The firm is majority employee-owned and supported by Pinnacle Investment Management Group, a leading Australian multi-affiliate asset manager based in Sydney.

Our people

Head of Trading & Business Operations

Marek Bonham

Marek is the Head of Trading & Business Operations.

Prior to LCIP he was an Operations Director at Pinnacle Investment Management, Quantitative Trader at Arctic Blue Capital, Trading Implementation Analyst at Man AHL, and Analyst at RBS.

Marek holds an MBA from Imperial College Business School, an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol, and the CFA Investment Management Certificate.

Executive Assistant & Office Manager

Mattie Carr

Mattie is an Executive Assistant and Office Manager at Life Cycle Investment Partners with over six years of experience providing C-Suite administrative and executive support.

Prior to joining LCIP, Mattie provided support to the Director and senior leadership team at OLO.

Mattie holds a BA from the University of Exeter in Theology and Religion.

Senior Portfolio Manager

James Clarke

James is a Senior Portfolio Manager co-managing Global Equity portfolios successfully for over 20 years.

Prior to LCIP James was a Senior PM at Royal London Asset Management, and other notable experience includes being; partner at Ironbridge Capital Management, Director at Waverton Investment Management, analyst at Deutsche Asset Management.

James is a CFA charterholder, has CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, and BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Warwick.

Portfolio Manager

Niko de Walden

Niko is a Portfolio Manager co-managing Global Equity portfolios successfully for over 7 years, including launching the Global Equity Income fund and co-managing the UK Dividend Growth fund at RLAM.

Prior to LCIP Niko was a PM at Royal London Asset Management, and an Analyst at Henderson Global Investors (now Janus Henderson).

Niko is a CFA charterholder, and BA (Hons) in Classics from the University of Oxford.

Compliance, Risk and Legal Officer

Jessica Freckleton

Jess is the Compliance, Risk and Legal Officer at LCIP.

Prior to LCIP, she was Director, UK Regulatory Consulting at COMPLY and the Deputy Compliance Officer and Legal Counsel at Melqart Asset Management (UK) Ltd. Jess has also held legal roles at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.

Jess is a qualified solicitor of England and Wales and holds a BA in History and Economics from Leeds University, an LLB from the College of Law and the Level 6 Diploma in Investment Compliance from CISI.

Investment Director

Tom Gander

Tom is an Investment Director at Life Cycle Investment Partners with over a decade of industry experience.

Prior to joining LCIP, Tom was an Investment Director at Royal London Asset Management, where he worked within the Global Equity investment team. Before that, he held a senior role within RLAM’s Derivatives team.

Tom is a CFA Charterholder and holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics.

Will Kenney

Will is a Senior Portfolio Manager co-managing Global Equity portfolios successfully for over 20 years.

Prior to LCIP Will was a Senior PM at Royal London Asset Management, and other notable experience includes being; partner at Spencer House Capital Management, Director at Waverton Investment Management, analyst at Deutsche Asset Management.

Will is a CFA charterholder, has CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, and BA (Hons) in Economics & Politics from the University of Durham.

Responsible Investment & Stewardship Specialist

Maya McFann

Maya is a Responsible Investment and Stewardship Specialist.

Prior to LCIP she was a Sustainable Investing Analyst at Epoch Investment Partners (TD Epoch) and a Sustainability Consultant at PwC.

Maya holds an MSc in Climate Change and Finance from Imperial College Business School, an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Portfolio Manager

Szymon Motyka

Szymon is a Portfolio Manager at LCIP.

Prior to joining LCIP, Szymon was an Equity Analyst at Royal London Asset Management.

Szymon holds an MA from the University of Oxford, where he read Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He is a CFA charterholder and has completed the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.

Quantitative Analyst

Alexa Orton

Alexa is a Quantitative Analyst at LCIP.

Prior to joining LCIP, Alexa was a Quant Researcher at MarketAxess and a Quant Fund Analyst in Index and Structured Solutions at Absa CIB.

Alexa holds an MSc in Data Science Specialising in Financial Markets with distinction from the University of Cape Town and is pursuing a PhD in Statistical Finance. 

Portfolio Manager

Chris Parr

Chris is a Portfolio Manager co-managing Global Equity portfolios successfully for over 7 years.

Prior to LCIP Chris was a PM at Royal London Asset Management, and an accountant at PWC.

Chris is a CFA charterholder, has CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, and BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Oxford.

Investment Research Director

Kevin Reher

Kevin is an Investment Research Director at Life Cycle Investment Partners with over 25 years of experience using the HOLT/CFROI Framework in both buy-side and sell-side roles.

 Prior to joining LCIP, Kevin was an Executive Director at UBS HOLT, where he headed up the HOLT Data Business and was also a key member of the CFROI Framework and Implementation Committees.  Other notable experience includes partner and co-Portfolio Manager at IronBridge Capital Management.

Senior Portfolio Manager

Peter Rutter

Peter is a Senior Portfolio Manager co-managing Global Equity portfolios successfully for over 20 years. He has also been leading the Global Equity team for over a decade.

Prior to LCIP Peter was Head of Equities at Royal London Asset Management, and other notable experience includes being; partner at Ironbridge Capital Management, Director at Waverton Investment Management, analyst at Deutsche Asset Management.

Peter is a CFA charterholder, has CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, Chartered Management Accountant ACMA, and a first class with distinction degree in Geography (MA) from the University of Cambridge.

Portfolio Manager

Joseff Thomas

Joseff is a Portfolio Manager, having joined the Global Equity team in 2018. Joseff also has Data Architect responsibilities helping develop the team’s proprietary tools.

Prior to LCIP Joseff was an analyst at Royal London Asset Management, and initially at Ignis.

Joseff is a CFA charterholder, has CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, and BSc (Hons) in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.

Client & Business Associate

Sophie Thornton-Wood

Sophie is a Client & Business Associate.

Prior to LCIP she was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, specialising in Financial Services Governance, and an ESG Analyst at a boutique data consultancy.

Sophie holds an MA in International Relations from Kings College London, a BA (Hons) in English Literature from Durham University, and the CFA Investment Management Certificate.
